The Toledo Rockets look to remain undefeated with their ninth straight home victory. Phillip Ely is completing 55.3 percent of his passes for 1,734 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Ely has nine touchdown passes in his last two games. Cody Thompson and Corey Jones have combined for 861 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Alonzo Russell has 22 receptions. The Toledo Rockets ground game is averaging 213.1 yards per contest, and Terry Swanson leads the way with 590 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Toledo is allowing 16.3 points and 367.1 yards per game. Jaylen Coleman leads the Rockets with 48 tackles, Chaz Whittaker has two interceptions and Orion Jones has five sacks.
This should be a solid matchup with two teams that can move the ball offensively and make plays defensively. However, Northern Illinois has lost three of its four road games this season, and the Toledo Rockets are one of the more balanced teams they'll face all season.
I like Toledo to remain unbeaten and win this game by double digits.
