The Bowling Green Falcons won their 4th straight game and improved to 6-2 (4-0 MAC East) after they shutout the Kent State Golden Flashes 48-0 this past Saturday. Bowling Green took control of the game early going up 31-0 by halftime and outgained the Golden Flashes by an incredible 602-166 margin for the game. Leading the way for the Falcons was QB Matt Johnson who completed 27 of 40 passes for 430 yards and 5 TD’s. On the season, Bowling Green is averaging 43.9 ppg (8th in FBS) on 595.3 yards per game (434.1 passing, 161.1 rushing). Leading the way for the Falcons offense has been QB Matt Johnson who has completed 70.1% of his yards for 3321 yards (415.1 yards/game), 29 TD’s and 3 Int. Roger Lewis is the main receiving threat for Bowling Green is averaging 7.3 receptions and 140.3 yards per game while catching 11 TD’s. Leading the Bowling Green rushing attack has been Travis Greene (14 att/game, 73.75 yards/game, 4 TD’s) and Fred Coppet (10.75 att/game, 73.75 yards/game, 2 TD). Defensively, Bowling Green is holding their opponents to 28.5 ppg on 419.5 yards per game (271.8 passing, 147.7 rushing). The Falcons have done an outstanding job protecting the ball this season as they’ve committed just 5 turnovers and have a turnover margin of plus 9. Leading the way for the Bowling Green defense has been LB James Sanford (53 tackles, 3.0 sacks, 1 INT) and LB Austin Valdez (74 tackles).

The Bobcats are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss however, are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 conference games. The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Ohio had a great start to their season but has really struggled in their last two games being outscored by Western Michigan and Buffalo by a combined score of 90-31. Bowling Green’s two losses have come against Tennessee and Memphis this season and has been absolutely dominant in conference play as they’ve been averaging 49.25 ppg. Ohio has had an extra week to prepare for Bowling Green but with how the defense has looked as of late, I don’t see Bowling Green having any issue covering this spread at home this Saturday. Take Bowling Green to cover in this one.
