The Baylor Bears go on the road to battle the Kansas State Wildcats in week ten action.
The high powered Baylor Bears have not had one close game yet but now life begins without injured QB Seth Russell and we’ll have to wait and see how that effects the team. The Bears are coming off of a 45-27 victory versus visiting Iowa State where they took a 35-7 lead in to the break behind a 485-388 yardage edge with a 4-2 advantage in turnovers. Russell threw for 197 yards with two TD’s and an interception on 16-37 while running for 64 yards and a score to give Baylor a dual threat. Corey Coleman led the Bears with six catches for 85 yards and a pair of scores while Shock Linwood was dominant on the ground with 171 yards on 27 touches with a trip to the end zone.

The Kansas State Wildcats have been stumbling and need an immediate turnaround. The Wildcats have dropped four straight with their offense stalling in a 23-9 defeat at Texas with the Longhorns holding a 373-242 edge in real estate. The Wildcats really struggled through the air with quarterback Joe Hubener going 10-22 for 97 yards with a touchdown and interception with leading receiver Deante Burton snagging five balls for 39 yards but Texas gave up nothing downfield. The Wildcats were more successful running the ball behind Charles Jones who totaled 122 yards on 18 attempts which wasn’t enough without help from the air game.
The Bears are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game and the over is 6-1-1 in Bears last 8 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game while the Bears are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a bye week. The over is 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and is 7-1 in Wildcats last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record while the Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The home team is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings and the underdog is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings. Giving Kansas State points at home doesn’t seem like a great plan but they do look vulnerable…
