It’s the battle of option attacks when the Army Black Knights visit the Air Force Falcons.
It’s tough to win at Army and even tougher to figure this team out as they can be incredibly competitive despite what the numbers say. The Black Knights gave Rice a fight in a 38-31 defeat as they were outgained 432-396 as their option wasn’t enough to get the job done. Quarterback AJ Schurr didn’t throw much which is typical Army but he did throw for 18 yards and a touchdown with DeAndre Bell catching the 16 yard scoring toss. Schurr was more formidable on the ground with 117 yards and a touchdown with Aaron Kemper giving the Black Knights a team high 129 yards with a TD.

Back to back victories have the Air Force Falcons thinking postseason with a 5-3 record. The Falcons went to Hawaii as a touchdown favorite and walloped the Warriors 58-7 in week nine. AFA was up 34-0 and never let up with a 576-178 yardage edge with four forced turnovers and 45 minutes of possession. Quarterback Karson Roberts gave the Falcons 80 passing yards on 3-9 with Garrett Brown catching a 61 yard bomb. Jacobi Owens was the Falcons workhorse on the ground with 137 yards on 30 touches with two trips to the end zone while Timothy McVey logged 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just seven carries.
The Black Knights are 2-11 ATS in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game while the under is 4-1 in Black Knights last 5 games following a S.U. loss. The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU win of more than 20 points and the under is 7-1 in Falcons last 8 vs. INDEP while the Falcons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Black Knights are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 meetings and the road team is 11-4 ATS in their last 15 meetings. I hate laying big chalk versus Army but the Falcons do defend the run well…
