The Alamodome and the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners host the Old Dominion Monarchs.
After opening the season 2-0 it has been all downhill for the Old Dominion Monarchs who have dropped five of six following a 56-30 loss to visiting Western Kentucky. The Monarchs were competitive at times but obviously didn’t have enough firepower as they were outgained 523-342. Quarterback Schuler Bentley completed 19-34 for 195 yards and three touchdowns but didn’t stretch the field enough and ODU needed yards in bunches. Zach Pascal was the receiver of choice with seven receptions for 100 yards while Ray Lawry was solid on the ground with 136 yards on 36 carries.

The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners are tough to nail down but their overall body of work says they are 1-7. The Roadrunners dropped a 30-23 decision at struggling North Texas as a seven point road favorite as they had a fumble returned for a touchdown but still owned a 475-371 yardage edge and had the ball almost 38 minutes. The Roadrunners offense revolved around quarterback Dalton Sturm who completed 27-41 for 245 yards with a touchdown while also leading the team with 73 yards on the ground. Aaron Grubb and Kerry Thomas Jr. combined for 16 catches for 144 yards while Jalen Rhodes and Jarveon Williams added 116 rushing yards.
The Monarchs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home and are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 conference games while going 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game. I don’t think I’d touch either team but I’ll take ODU because they are getting points…
