The Georgia Southern offense is averaging 37.4 points and 443 yards per game and they have turned the ball over 16 times. Favian Upshaw and Kevin Ellison both see time at QB for the Eagles but don’t expect to see much passing as a team they have completed 41 of 96 attempts for the entire season. Matt Breida leads GSU in rushing with 1,242 yards and 14 touchdowns and L.A. Ramsby has rushed for 586 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively Georgia Southern is allowing 22.8 points and 341 yards per game with 15 interceptions, five fumble recoveries, and 14 sacks. Antwione Williams leads Georgia Southern with 73 tackles, Ironhead Gallon has 61 tackles, and Atonio Golver has 44 tackles. Georgia Southern has progressed quickly since moving to FBS.
Georgia is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games, 2-5 against the spread following a win, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games. Georgia Southern is 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 non-conference games, 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games, and 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 road games.
With the total set at 50.5 it's just a lean but I like the over. My stronger pick is on the winning team against the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area.
