The San Diego State Aztecs have been in a big time groove with everything clicking. The Aztecs have won six in a row to improve to 7-3 after dominating Wyoming 38-3 in week eleven as a 24 point favorite. SDSU totaled 431 yards behind a pounding rushing attack while an airtight defense allowed a mere 191 yards and forced three turnovers. Quarterback Maxwell Smith led an efficient Aztecs passing attack with 138 yards and three touchdowns on 12-19 with Micah Holder catching two short scoring tosses. San Diego State was deadly on the ground with Chase Price totaling 15-2 yards and two TD’s while Donnel Pumphrey ran for another 140 yards.

Although the UNLV Rebels are just 3-7 they are definitely improved over recent seasons. The Rebels are coming off of a 49-35 loss at Colorado State as they tried to match scores with the Rams. Both teams combined for over 1,000 with the Rebels using two quarterbacks with Kurt Palendech throwing for 154 yards and a score with Blake Decker passed for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns. UNLV saw Devonte Boyd haul in eight balls for 131 yards while Kendal Keys added 87 yards and three scores on six receptions. Lexington Thomas gave the Rebels rushing attack some punch with 118 yards and a trip to the end zone on eleven carries but the defense couldn’t hold off Colorado State.
