Florida Atlantic was great defensively as they outgained Florida by a 299-253 margin, however, they did commit three turnovers in the loss. Old Domination had a 17-14 lead at halftime but was outscored by a 42-14 margin in the 2nd half and outgained by Southern Mississippi by a 612-338 margin. Leading the way for Old Dominion was QB Shuler Bentley who completed 22 of 41 passes for 228 yards, 3 TD, and an INT. The Owls are 17-4 ATS in their last 21 games after scoring less than 20 points in the previous game and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 road games. The Monarchs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November however, just 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 home games.
Old Dominion might have the better record in this one however, Florida Atlantic has played the much tougher competition this season and took a top-10 team in the country to overtime. Florida Atlantic’s offense is generally their weak point but QB Jacquez Johnson and RB Greg Howell should be able to find some room to operate against an Old Dominion defense that has struggled all season. I’m Florida Atlantic comes out with the same amount of energy as they did last week as if they do, I don’t see them having any trouble covering this small spread on the road. Take Florida Atlantic to cover.
