Clemson controls their own destiny and should be one of he four teams in the College Football Playoff this year.
South Carolina is 6-1 against the spread against the ACC, 1-7 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 6-2 against the spread after allowing more than 200 yards rushing their previous game. Clemson is 4-1 against the spread in their last five non-conference games, 2-5 against the spread in their last seven road games, and 1-6 against the spread against a team with a losing record. The home team has covered the point spread in six of the last eight meetings of these two.
This is a ton of points for a rivalry game and even so I expect the world to be on Clemson but I expect South Carolina to show some pride and leave it all on the field and while an outright upset is unlikely, I look for them to possibly get the cover. I don’t love this one, looks like a trap.
