The Arizona Wildcats stumbled to the finish line as losers in four of five just o become a Bowl eligible 5-6. The Wildcats were very dependent on their #15 offense with 494 yards per game and the ability to run and throw although the defense struggled to stop both with team scoring around 36 points and allowing about the same. Quarterback Anu Solomon gave Zona 2,326 passing yards with 18 touchdowns and just four picks but a head injury has him listed as questionable. Cayleb Jones and Johnny Jackson caught 52 and 50 balls for 725 yards and 612 yards to pace the Wildcats in the receiving game while the duo of Nick Wilson and Jerrard Randall combined for over 1,400 rushing yards.
The New Mexico Lobos haven’t been accustomed to winning so a 7-5 record and a Bowl invitation are unheard of for this program. Their defense wasn’t able to stop too much of anything but they were protected by the #9 rushing attack that averaged nearly 250 yards. The quarterback tandem of Lamar Jordan and Austin Apodaca combined over 1,400 passing yards with five touchdowns and eleven interceptions with neither being much more then a 50% with Dameon Gamblin giving the UNM receiving corps 33 catches for 397 yards. The New Mexico rushing attack was made up by the trio of Jhurell Pressley, Teriyon Gipson and Jordan combining for around 2,300 yards.
The over is 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game and is 4-0 in Wildcats last 4 non-conference games while going 7-1 in Wildcats last 8 vs. a team with a winning record. The under is 4-0 in Lobos last 4 games following a straight up win and the Lobos are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game while going 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. If the real Arizona shows up I can see plenty of scoring here and I will back the over…
