Virginia Tech will be playing with a little extra motivation, as this is Frank Beamer’s last game to coach at Virginia Tech. The Virginia Tech players will surely want to send Beamer off with a bowl win. For the most part, the Virginia Tech defense has been very solid this season and has kept them in games. The Virginia Tech offense, however, has been very tough to watch for most of the season. The Tulsa defense is bad, as they have given up at least 34 points in 7 of their games this season. Tulsa does have one of the better passing attacks in the country, so it will be interesting to see how they perform against the Hokies defense. I think this game will be close because I just don’t see Virginia Tech getting the offense to win in a blowout. I think Virginia Tech will win, but Tulsa covers the spread.
