The Florida Gators and Michigan Wolverines square off in the Citrus Bowl New Year’s Day at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
The Florida Gators are looking for their sixth bowl victory since the 2008 season. Treon Harris is completing 51.9 percent of his passes for 1,530 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Harris has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Antonio Callaway and Demarcus Robinson have combined for 1,108 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Jake McGee has 41 receptions. The Florida Gators ground game is averaging 127.6 yards per contest, and Kelvin Taylor leads the way with 985 yards and 13 touchdowns. Defensively, Florida is allowing 16.5 points and 295.4 yards per game. Antonio Morrison leads the Gators with 97 tackles, Vernon Hargreaves, III has four interceptions and Jonathan Bullard has 6.5 sacks. Alex McCalister is questionable with a foot injury.

The Michigan Wolverines are searching for just their second bowl victory since the 2008 season. Jake Rudock is completing 64 percent of his passes for 2,739 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rudock has nine touchdown passes in his last three games. Amara Darboh and Jehu Chesson have combined for 1,349 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Jake Butt has 48 receptions. The Michigan Wolverines ground game is averaging 152.6 yards per contest, and De'Veon Smith leads the way with 644 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Michigan is allowing 17.2 points and 281.3 yards per game. Joe Bolden leads the Wolverines with 76 tackles, Jeremy Clark has three interceptions and Willie Henry has 6.5 sacks. Brain Cole, Derrick Green and Bryan Mone are questionable.
If you're a fan of defense, this is the game for you as both Michigan and Florida are top-10 in the country in scoring defense and total defense. Just off that alone, the under is worth a hard look as it may be the first team that scores 10 points will win the game. This is going to be an old school defensive game where points are going to be hard to come by.
I'm not sure either of these offenses can score on either defense. Because of that, I'm siding with the points here. Not to mention the Gators will have a big advantage with the game being played in Orlando. This is a true coin flip game.
