The Ole Miss Rebels hope to improve to 3-1 in bowl games under coach Hugh Freeze. Chad Kelly is completing 65.2 percent of his passes for 3,740 yards, 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Kelly has seven touchdown passes in his last three games. Laquon Treadwell and Quincy Adeboyejo have combined for 1,663 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns while Cody Core has 33 receptions. The Ole Miss Rebels ground game is averaging 181 yards per contest, and Jaylen Walton leads the way with 690 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Ole Miss is allowing 22.8 points and 387.5 yards per game. DeMarquis Gates leads the Rebels with 71 tackles, Trae Elston has four interceptions and Marquis Haynes has 9.5 sacks. Fadol Brown is out with a foot injury.
The defense of Ole Miss is going to be the difference in this game, as OK State hasn't seen this type of physical play in the Big 12. The Rebels get after it in the trenches and punch you in the mouth defensively. This game is going to be a lot like when the Cowboys just played the Sooners and got blown out.
