The TCU Horned Frogs hope to win their ninth bowl game under head coach Gary Patterson. Trevone Boykin is completing 64.9 percent of his passes for 3,575 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Boykin has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Kolby Listenbee and KaVontae Turpin have combined for 1,182 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Shaun Nixon has 38 receptions. The TCU Horned Frogs ground game is averaging 218.8 yards per contest, and Aaron Green leads the way with 1,171 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively, TCU is allowing 26.1 points and 396.7 yards per game. Travin Howard leads the Horned Frogs with 92 tackles, Derrick Kindred has two interceptions and Josh Carraway has eight sacks. Joey Hunt is questionable.
Even with Boykin back on the field and healthy with so much time to get ready for this game, it's Oregon that has looked more impressive down the stretch. Adams has become a really good and explosive quarterback for the Ducks and makes them look a lot like team's from the past. When you add Freeman's ability to carry the bll 25-plus times, I'm not sure TCU's defense is going to up to the task here.
The Oregon Ducks are looking sharp and in a toss up game should be able to beat the shaky Horned Frogs even with this game being played in Texas.
