The Tulsa Golden Hurricane welcome the San Jose Spartans to town on opening day.
The San Jose State Spartans have some experience back and will need it in a tough Mountain West. Spartans quarterback Kenny Potter gives the team a dual threat and was very effective using his legs at 7 ½ yards per tote with a not too shabby 67% completion rate. SJSU has plenty of returning receiving options including Justin Holmes, Tyler Winston, Tim Cawley and tight end Billy Freeman. The San Jose State rushing attack lost Tyler Ervin which hurts and will turn to Thomas Tucker and Malik Roberson which should get a boost from an experienced offensive line that gets back four starters.

Anybody that follows the Tulsa Golden Hurricane knows that this team can easily find the endzone and so can opponents. The Golden Hurricane should have zero issues moving the chains with star quarterback Dane Evans bringing back 4,300+ passing yards back while also able to tuck it and as well. Tulsa has plenty of production coming back at receiver with Joshua Atkinson leading the way while Justin Hobbs and Keevan Lucas give Evans three familiar targets. TPhe Tulsa rushing attack appears to be in competent hands with Ramadi Warren and D’Angelo Brewer giving the team a productive backfield especially with four starters back.
