The Stony Brook Seawolves and Temple Owls square off Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field on ESPN3.
The Stony Brook Seawolves look for another win after escaping North Dakota last week. Joe Carbone is completing 51.6 percent of his passes for 159 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Carbone must be more of a difference maker in the passing game in order for the Seawolves to have a shot. Ray Bolden and H. Jackson have combined for 103 receiving yards on eight catches while Andrew Trent has two receptions. The Stony Brook Seawolves ground game is averaging 62 yards per contest, and Stacey Bedell leads the way with 42 yards on 15 carries. Defensively, Stony Brook is allowing nine points and 177 yards per game. Jaheem Woods leads the Seawolves with 11 tackles, T. Beverette has one sack and Chris Cooper has one forced fumble.

The Temple Owls could use a bounce back performance after being upset by Navy last week. Phillip Walker is completing 46.2 percent of his passes for 168 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions. Walker has five interceptions in his last three games. Marshall Ellick and Keith Kirkwood have combined for 81 receiving yards on seven catches while Colin Thompson has one reception. The Temple Owls ground game is averaging 83 yards per contest, and Ryquell Armstead leads the way with 77 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Temple is allowing 28 points and 344 yards per game. Avery Williams leads the Owls with 12 tackles, Jacob Martin has 0.5 sacks and Avery Ellis has one forced fumble.
When was the last time Temple won by 25 or more points? The Owls are all defense and struggle on offense big time. Temple has a hard time putting teams away, even against teams it should roll over. Meanwhile, Stony Brook has won four straight games dating back to last season and has allowed no more than 21 points in five straight games.
I like the Seawolves to keep this within the number.
