The Texas Longhorns picked up one of their biggest wins in recent years with a 50-47, double overtime decision versus top ten Notre Dame to open 2016 at 1-0. Offense was the name of the game with the longhorns amassing 517 yards and allowing 444. Texas couldn’t stop DeShone Kizer but the Irish had problems stopping anything. UT quarterback Shane Buechele threw for 280 yar0ds with a pair of touchdowns and an interception with John Burt snagging six balls for 111 yards including a 74 yard TD. The Horns received 131 rushing yards from D’Onta Foreman with a score while Tyrone Swoopes added 53 yards on 13 touches with three scores including the winner in OT.
The under is 11-1-1 in Miners last 13 games following a straight up win and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the Miners are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The under is 7-0 in Longhorns last 7 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game and the over is 4-0 in Longhorns last 4 games on fieldturf while the under is 5-1 in Longhorns last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Not my type of game but I expect Texas to play well…
