The Alabama Crimson Tide look to stay perfect when they visit the Ole Miss Rebels.
The defending National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide looked primed for another big season. After a convincing win against Southern Cal, the Crimson Tide scored an impressive 38-10 victory against visiting Western Kentucky by holding their potent offense to a mere 239 yards and a pair of interceptions. The Tide piled up 475 yards behind a strong passing attack where Jalen Hurts connected on 23-36 for 287 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Calvin Ridley led the receiving corps with nine receptions for 129 yards and a score followed by ArDarius Stewart with five catches for 90 yards and another score. Alabama didn’t do a lot on the ground with Damien Harris and BJ Emmons combining for 87 yards but the Bama defense was the real story here.

After blowing a big lead at Florida State the Ole Miss Rebels found FCS opponent Wofford a much easier target. The Rebels handed the Terriers a 38-13 defeat as a 43 point favorite and could have made this much uglier if they wanted too. Mississippi led 416-305 in yardage although Wofford held the ball for over 35 minutes because they did nothing but run. The Rebels did everything with quarterback Chad Kelly completing 20-27 for 219 yards and three touchdowns with nine different players making receptions. Akeem Judd led Mississippi on the ground with 64 yards on eleven carries followed by Eugene Brazley with 39 yards on four touches. The bottom line for Ole Miss was to get out healthy and prepare for Alabama.
The Crimson Tide are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and the over is 5-1 in Crimson Tide last 6 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game while the Crimson Tide are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The under is 7-0 in Rebels last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and the Rebels are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game while the under is 7-1 in Rebels last 8 games following a ATS loss. The under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings and the road team is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings while the Crimson Tide are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 meetings. Alabama hasn’t really been a covering machine in this match up but I’m going out on a limb…
