The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens ground game is averaging 335.5 yards per contest, and Wes Hills leads the way with 213 yards and two touchdowns. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons look for another victory to also improve to 3-0 on the season. Kendall Hinton is completing 60 percent of his passes for 150 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Hinton has just 22 pass attempts in his last three games. Alex Bachman and Cam Serigne have combined for 117 receiving yards on seven catches while Cortez Lewis has one reception. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons ground game is averaging 159 yards per contest, and Cade Carney leads the way with 129 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Wake Forest is allowing 8.5 points and 324.5 yards per game. Brad Watson leads the Demon Deacons with 16 tackles, Duke Ejiofor has 3.5 sacks and Josh Okonye has two pass deflections.
Delaware usually plays some of the better FCS teams out there and has lost a lot of close games dating back to last season. The Blue Hens consistently compete and have gotten off a strong start defensively. Also, while Wake Forest has the better athletes overall, this is a team that struggles big time offensively. Hard to see the Demon Deacons scoring 20-plus points let alone winning by it.
Don't love the pick, but if you're looking at this game, I'd suggest taking the points.
