The Arkansas State Red Wolves are in desperate need of a win after a brutal 0-3 start to the season. Chad Voytik is completing 54.9 percent of his passes for 349 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception. Voytik has just one touchdown pass on his last 75 pass attempts. Blake Mack and Chris Murray have combined for 335 receiving yards on 17 catches while Christian Booker has nine receptions. The Arkansas State Red Wolves ground game is averaging 92.6 yards per contest, and Warren Wand leads the way with 175 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Arkansas State is allowing 38.7 points and 532 yards per game. Xavier Woodson-Luster leads the Red Wolves with 28 tackles, Chris Odom has two sacks and Blaise Taylor has one interception.
The slow start for Arkansas State may be a tad bit overblown given the fact the Red Wolves have played three decent teams and two of those contests were on the road. However, Central Arkansas is not a bad football team and comes into this game confident considering its won nine of its last 15 games. Also, the Bears are going to be highly moviated with 31 players on its roster from Arkansas, so there's a chip on its shoulder here with a little rivalry going.
The Red Wolves haven't shown enough to be worthy of such heavy chalk. I'll take my chances with the Bears and the free points.
