The Ole Miss Rebels are in need of a big victory after a frustrating 1-2 start to the season. Chad Kelly is completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 953 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. Kelly has three or more touchdown passes in four straight games. Evan Engram and Damore'ea Stringfellow have combined for 470 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Van Jefferson has 12 receptions. The Ole Miss Rebels ground game is averaging 114 yards per contest, and Akeem Judd leads the way with 153 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Ole Miss is allowing 35.3 points and 459 yards per game. Terry Caldwell leads the Rebels with 24 tackles, Marquis Haynes has two sacks and Montrell Custis has two pass deflections.
The Bulldogs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 conference games. The Rebels are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss. The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Mississippi and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings overall.
Despite the losses, Ole Miss has impressed me big time, as it outplayed Florida State and Alabama before falling apart in the fourth quarter. The Rebels could easily be 3-0 with wins over two top-10 teams and should be able to come into this contest with confidence. Georgia has been barely skating by against subpar teams and doesn't have the pass rush to bother Kelly in the pocket. Have to side with the home team by a touchdown.
