The 13th ranked Florida State Seminoles will travel to Raymond James Stadium to take on the South Florida Bulls this Saturday afternoon in College Football action.

The 13th ranked Florida State Seminoles (2-1) suffered their worst loss in the Jimbo Fisher era last Saturday as they got outplayed on both sides of the ball en route to a 63-20 blowout loss to the 3rd ranked Louisville Cardinals. Florida State was outgained by Louisville by a 530-284 margin and allowed Louisville to rush for 314 yards in the loss. Florida State was led by RB Jacques Patrick who finished the game with 79 rushing yards on just 7 carries. On the season, Florida State is averaging 39.0 ppg on 434.0 total yards per game (267.0 passing, 167.0 rushing). RB Dalvin Cook has gotten off to a slow start to his season for his standards as he currently had just 2 TD’s on the season and is averaging 76.0 yds/game on 16.67 att/game. Freshman QB Deonde Francois is completing 63.7% of his passes with 6 TD and 2 INT while averaging 260.7 yds/game however, did struggle against Louisville defense going just 7 for 18 for 101 yards, TD, and an INT. USF vs. Florida State - 9/24/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The South Florida Bulls continued their impressive start to their season and remained a perfect 3-0 on the year after defeating the Syracuse Orange, 45-20, this past Saturday. South Florida found themselves down 17-0 after the 1st quarter, however, scored 28 unanswered points in the 2nd quarter to take the lead at halftime and easily went on to victory in the 2nd half. South Florida was outgained by Syracuse by a 549-454 margin but did win the turnover battle by a 3-0 margin. Leading the way for South Florida was RB Marlon Mack who had 115 yards and 2 TD’s on just 9 carries. On the season, the Bulls have been outstanding on the offensive end as they are averaging 49.7 ppg on 518.7 total yards per game (270.0 passing, 248.7 rushing). South Florida has an outstanding rushing attack led by RB Marlon Mack (9.0 att/game, 86.50 yds/game, 3 TD), RB Darius Tice (9.33 att/game, 55.0 yds/game, TD), and WR Rodney Adams (3.67 att/game, 33.0 yds/game, 4 TD). QB Quinton Flowers has completed 54.7% of his passes for 7 TD’s and an INT while averaging 238.7 passing yds/game. Flowers has also gotten it done with his legs as he has 2 rushing TD’s on the season and is averaging 10.33 att/game for 50.0 yds/game. Leading the way at WR has been Marquez Valdes-Scantling (3.3 rec/game, 62.0 yds/game, TD) and Rodney Adams (3.7 rec/game, 51.0 yds/game, 2 TD). Defensively, South Florida is holding their opponents to an average of 19.0 ppg on 386.3 total yards per game (225.3 passing, 161.0 rushing). Leading the way for the Bulls defense has been LB Auggie Sanchez who leads the team in both tackles (33 tackles) and sacks (2.0 sacks).

The Seminoles are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss of more than 20 points and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Bulls are 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 home games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall.

Florida State obviously has the talent to rebound quickly after such a tough loss however, South Florida is a probably one of the few teams that no top-25 team wants to see on their schedule as this is a very solid football team. I think that this game is going to come down on the shoulders of the Florida QB, Deonde Francois, and although he has shown the potential he has with his outstanding performance against Old Miss, I think the freshman QB is going to once again struggle a bit in a tough road environment. I think the South Florida offensive will do enough to keep this one close throughout and I’m going to take South Florida and the points.
