The Norfolk State Spartans and North Carolina A&T Aggies square off Thursday night at Aggie Stadium on ESPNU.
The Norfolk State Spartans could use a monster road upset to bounce back from a poor 1-4 start to the season. Greg Hankerson is completing 52.5 percent of his passes for 865 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. Hankerson has to be more effective through the air for the Spartans to have a shot. Marcus Taylor and George Wahee have combined for 471 receiving yards and three touchdowns while James Church has 13 receptions. The Norfolk State Spartans ground game is averaging 127.2 yards per contest, and Hankerson leads the way with 217 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Norfolk State is allowing 29.6 points and 373.2 yards per game. Kyle Archie leads the Norfolk State Spartans with 38 tackles, Chris Lee has 2.5 sacks and Sandy Chapman has two interceptions.

The North Carolina A&T Aggies look for another victory in order to build on their solid 3-1 start to the season. Lamar Raynard is completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 523 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Raynard and Oluwafemi Bamiro have combined for seven touchdown passes. Tarik Cohen and Elijah Bell have combined for 325 receiving yards and one touchdown while Denzel Keyes has 11 receptions. The North Carolina A&T Aggies ground game is averaging 185.5 yards per contest, and Cohen leads the way with 470 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, North Carolina A&T is allowing 25.8 points and 347.8 yards per game. Jeremy Taylor leads the North Carolina A&T Aggies with 29 tackles, Joshua Patrick has 2.5 sacks and Marquis Willis has two interceptions.
North Carolina A&T has proven itself against FBS schools and now is back home ready to beat up on teams in the MEAC. The Aggies beat up on Norfolk State last year on the road by a score of 27-3 and look like a better team than they were a season ago. To be fair the Spartans have had a few tough losses this year that have come down to the wire and are certainly a better team than their record. However, Norfolk State is in over its head here, especially when you consider the Spartans are just 2-7 SU on the road the last two seasons.
Give me the North Carolina A&T Aggies in a blowout.
