The Clemson Tigers and Boston College Eagles meet in a key ACC matchup Friday night at Alumni Stadium on ESPN.
The Clemson Tigers look for their third road victory of the season and to remain in the college football playoff hunt. Deshaun Watson is completing 60.8 percent of his passes for 1,302 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Watson has two or more touchdown passes in eight of his last 11 games. Mike Williams and Ray-Ray McCloud have combined for 644 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Artavis Scott has 19 receptions. The Clemson Tigers ground game is averaging 167.8 yards per contest, and Wayne Gallman leads the way with 366 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Clemson is allowing 16 points and 288.4 yards per game. Van Smith leads the Clemson Tigers with 39 tackles, Carlos Watkins has three sacks and Jadar Johnson has three interceptions.

The Boston College Eagles have a chance to beat their first ranked team since their September 2014 win over the Florida State Seminoles. Patrick Towles is completing 50.9 percent of his passes for 806 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Towles has moved the chains 33 times through the air this season. Jeff Smith and Michael Walker have combined for 401 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Charlie Callinan has 10 receptions. The Boston College Eagles ground game is averaging 163 yards per contest, and Jon Hilliman leads the way with 295 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Boston College is allowing 17.2 points and 202 yards per game. John Johnson leads the Boston College Eagles with 28 tackles, Harold Landry has 5.5 sacks and William Harris has one interception.
The Tigers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Eagles are 1-5-2 ATS in their last 8 home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games in October. The underdog is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings and the under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.
Boston College has not won a game against Clemson, but a lot of those games have been close, which is why the underdog has covered eight of the last 11 meetings. Boston College may not be able to score much, but it's led by a great defense that makes you earn everything and currently leads the country in fewest yards allowed per game. Boston College is a physical team and I'm not sure Clemson is ready for 60 minutes of that given the way it barely escaped Louisville last week. This is a tough spot for the Clemson Tigers, and you know that Boston College crowd will be out there with this being the biggest game on the Eagles schedule.
I'll take a shot with the points here.
