The Oregon State Beavers would love a big Pac-12 victory after a rough 1-3 start to the season. Darell Garretson is completing 54.9 percent of his passes for 508 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Garretson has zero touchdown passes in four of his last five games. Devin Chappell leads the Oregon State Beavers with 28 tackles, Titus Failauga has two sacks and Treston Decoud has two interceptions.
The Golden Bears are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games. The Beavers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games overall. The favorite is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
I'm not laying this many points with a Cal team that doesn't play a lick of defense. Sure, the Golden Bears can score with anybody in the country and have a red hot quarterback, but Cal has also allowed 30 or more points in 10 of its last 13 games. Oregon State is decent at home as it competed with a ranked Boise State and usually has a nice crowd turnout. Cal is probably going to win this game, but laying double-digit chalk is playing with fire simply because of that swiss cheese defense.
Give me Oregon State and the two touchdowns.
