The Virginia Tech Hokies and North Carolina Tar Heels meet early Saturday afternoon at Kenan Stadium.

Jerod Evans is completing 67 percent of his passes for 970 yards, 13 touchdowns and one interception. Evans has eight touchdown passes in his last two games. Isaiah Ford and Cam Phillips have combined for 614 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Bucky Hodges has 12 receptions. Virginia Tech at North Carolina - 10/8/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The North Carolina Tar Heels look to build on their impressive four-game winning streak and beat back-to-back ranked teams. Mitch Trubisky is completing 76 percent of his passes for 1,711 yards, 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Trubisky has two or more touchdown passes in four straight games. Ryan Switzer and Austin Proehl have combined for 856 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Bug Howard has 18 receptions. The North Carolina Tar Heels ground game is averaging 136 yards per contest, and Elijah Hood leads the way with 338 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, North Carolina is allowing 31 points and 458.8 yards per game. Donnie Miles leads the North Carolina Tar Heels with 47 tackles, Malik Carney has 2.5 sacks and M.J. Stewart has four pass deflections.

The Hokies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in October. The Tar Heels are 9-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games in October. The Hokies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in North Carolina and the under is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings.

I'm not sure why North Carolina continues to get overlooked by oddmakers and betters, as the Tar Heels are a very talented team that can put points up quickly. Remember, the Tar Heels put up 30 points on Virginia Tech last season and won that game on the road. Now we're getting this line with the Tar Heels at home? I'm just not sold on Virginia Tech, as home wins over Boston College and East Carolina don't do much for me. UNC has shown more this season and has overall better talent at the skill positions.

North Carolina should roll Virginia Tech Saturday afternoon.
