The Florida Gators battle the Missouri Tigers in SEC football on Saturday afternoon.
The Missouri Tigers sit at 2-3 and know they probably need a few upsets to snag a Bowl invitation. The Tigers didn’t get a shot at upsetting LSU in a 42-7 defeat where they were outgained 634-265 and held the ball for less then 18 minutes and were 4-14 on first downs. Missouri needed a rushing attack to keep LSU off the field but a combined 83 yards on 17 carries from Ish Witter and Damarea Crockett wasn’t enough. Missouri quarterback Drew Lock had similar success, connecting on 17-37 for 167 yards and an interception while receiver Eric Laurent hit Lock with a 21 yard scoring strike in a trick play for their only touchdown in the 4th quarter.

The Florida Gators aren’t the National Championship threat they once were but a 4-1 record has to be satisfying. The Gators come off a 13-6 victory at Vanderbilt where points were tough to come by with the Commodores squeezing out a 265-236 yardage edge but also turning the ball over three times which cost them a shot at an upset as a two touchdown underdog. UF received 55 rushing yards and a touchdown from Jordan Scarlett on 12 carries but that was the extent of their ground game. Austin Appleby gave Florida 144 yards in the air on 19-28 with C’yontai Lewis recording a pair of receptions for 39 yards but this was generally a very short passing attack.
The under is 4-0 in Missouri last 4 games on grass and is 6-0 in Tigers last 6 games in October while going 7-0 in Missouri last 7 road games. Florida are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and Florida are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games while Florida are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
From what I have seen from these teams is the first one to 20 points should win so In other words I don’t think this will be a huge scoring contest…
