The Line: Nebraska Cornhuskers -24 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Purdue Boilermakers and Nebraska Cornhuskers play a Big Ten college football game Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

The Purdue Boilermakers could use a nice road win to get a game above a .500 record. The Purdue Boilermakers have not beat a ranked team since their 2011 victory over Illinois. David Blough is completing 55.6 percent of his passes for 1,756 yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Blough has seven touchdown passes in his last three games. DeAngelo Yancey and Domonique Young have combined for 729 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Cole Herdman has 17 receptions. The Purdue Boilermakers ground game is averaging 136.1 yards per contest, and Markell Jones leads the way with 372 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Purdue is allowing 34.3 points and 446.3 yards per game. Markus Bailey leads the Purdue Boilermakers with 43 tackles, Evan Panfil has four sacks and Josh Hayes has one interception.

Nebraska vs. Purdue - 10/22/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Nebraska Cornhuskers look for their eighth straight victory to remain in the college football playoff race. The Nebraska Cornhuskers have won seven straight games against unranked teams. Tommy Armstrong Jr. is completing 55.5 percent of his passes for 1,359 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. Armstrong has three touchdown passes in his last three games. Alonzo Moore and Stanley Morgan Jr. have combined for 538 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Jordan Westerkamp has 13 receptions. The Nebraska Cornhuskers ground game is averaging 220.5 yards per contest, and Terrell Newby leads the way with 429 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, Nebraska is allowing 18.3 points and 344.5 yards per game. Kieron Williams leads the Nebraska Cornhuskers with 43 tackles, Ross Dzuris has 3.5 sacks and Chris Jones has three interceptions.

The over is 4-0 in Boilermakers last 4 games in October and 5-0 in Boilermakers last 5 conference games. The under is 4-0 in Cornhuskers last 4 games overall and 5-0 in Cornhuskers last 5 conference games.

Purdue hung around with Iowa last week and beat Nebraska last season despite being a touchdown underdog. However, I have no idea how the Boilermakers are going to perform after Purdue fired head coach Darrell Hazell. Does Purdue mail it in due to anger or does the team rally around each other and play inspired football? Who knows. I do know that Purdue has been able to compete this season and Nebraska isn't exactly blowing teams out of the water despite its impressive record. So, while not my favorite bet on the board, there's value with Purdue and the points here.
