Northwestern vs. Indiana - 10/22/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Northwestern Wildcats hope to build on their momentum after winning three of their last four games. The Northwestern Wildcats have won 11 of their last 13 games against unranked teams. Clayton Thorson is completing 58.3 percent of his passes for 1,401 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. Thorson has three touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Flynn Nagel and Austin Carr have combined for 807 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while Macan Wilson has nine receptions. The Northwestern Wildcats ground game is averaging 139.8 yards per contest, and Justin Jackson leads the way with 698 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, Northwestern is allowing 23.2 points and 416.3 yards per game. Godwin Igwebuike leads the Northwestern Wildcats with 53 tackles, Ifeadi Odenigbo has seven sacks and Jared McGee has two interceptions.

The Hoosiers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and the under is 5-1 in Hoosiers last 6 games overall. The Wildcats are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game and the over is 5-0 in Wildcats last 5 games in October. The underdog is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

It's safe to say that Northwestern has figured things out after putting together back-to-back road victories over Iowa and Michigan State. In those games, Northwestern, a team that couldn't score at all last season, combined for 92 points. Northwestern is a dangerous football team if it can find offensive success to go with a playmaking and physical defense. Indiana hasn't proven it can win on the road and its current stretch of losses shows that the Hoosiers aren't quite there yet.

Northwestern and the small line at home is one of the better bets on the board.
