The Prairie View A&M Panthers and Rice Owls meet Saturday afternoon in a college football game at Rice Stadium.
The Prairie View A&M Panthers look for another road win after winning three of their last four games overall. The Prairie View A&M Panthers have six road victories dating back to last season. Trey Green is completing 48.5 percent of his passes for 1,164 yards, eight touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Green must take better care of the football for the Panthers to have a chance in this game. Demarquo Lastrappe and KhaDarel Hodge have combined for 620 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Joshua Simmons has 13 receptions. The Prairie View A&M Panthers ground game is averaging 134.7 yards per contest, and Sta'fon McCray leads the way with 249 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Prairie View A&M is allowing 31 points and 402.8 yards per game. Terrence Singleton leads the Prairie View A&M Panthers with 44 tackles, DeVohn Reed has 6.5 sacks and Raleigh Johnson has one interception.

The Rice Owls are desperate for their first victory of the 2016 college football season. Three of the Rice Owls last five victories have come at home. Tyler Stehling is completing 57 percent of his passes for 985 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions. Stehling has four touchdown passes in his last three games. Zach Wright and Temi Alaka have combined for 335 receiving yards and one touchdown while Connor Cella has 13 receptions. The Rice Owls ground game is averaging 163.3 yards per contest, and Darik Dillard leads the way with 269 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Rice is allowing 35.8 points and 529.3 yards per game. Emmanuel Ellerbee leads the Rice Owls with 64 tackles, Preston Gordon has 1.5 sacks and J.T. Blasingame has one interception.
The under is 5-1 in Owls last 6 games on fieldturf and the over is 6-1 in Owls last 7 games following a ATS win.
Rice has yet to win a game and is dead last in college football in terms of yards allowed per game. I don't know who in their right mind would lay such a heavy number with the worst defense in FBS. Prairie View does have six road victories dating back to last season and has had an extra week to prepare for this game. Sure, even Rice has more talent than Prairie View, but we're talking about the Owls, a team that's been getting crushed weekly and has just three wins by double digits dating back to last season.
Give me the Prairie View A&M Panthers and the points as more of a fade from the Rice Owls.
