The Wolverines are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in October and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. The Spartans are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Wolverines are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Michigan State and 0-8 ATS in their last 8 meetings overall.
The Michigan State Spartans are god awful this season, as they have no answer at quarterback and their defense is no longer as stout as it's been in the past. On paper, the Michigan Wolverines should have their way with the Spartans. However, this is a rivalry game where I tend to throw the numbers out the window. A lot of the recent meetings between the Wolverines and Spartans have come down to the wire, and Michigan State has been on the winning side of the last three games.
So, while MSU isn't a good team at all, I'll take my three free touchdowns with the home team.
