Week nine college football action features the Georgia State Panthers traveling to the South Alabama Jaguars.
I thought the Georgia State Panthers were capable of reaching a college football Bowl of some type but playing 60 minutes of football hasn’t happened enough. The Panthers improved to 2-5 with a 31-6 win versus Tennessee- Martin which was only a 10-3 game at the half. The Panthers were outgained 320-285 and returned a fumble for a score and had a pick six so credit the defense for this victory. GSU quarterback Aaron Winchester completed 8-16 for 119 yards and a touchdown and a pair of interceptions with Winchester and Darius Stubbs combining for 144 rushing yards while Glen Smith caught three passes for 45 yards and a score.
USA TODAY Sports
The South Alabama college football team needs a crystal ball to figure them out as they beat Mississippi State and San Diego State but Needed overtime to beat Nichols State by a point. The Jaguars have dropped back to back contests following a 28-21 decision to visiting Troy where they were outscored 15-0 in the 4th. USA was out gained 585-340 and the Trojans moved the chains easily but somehow didn’t score as much as we would think. USA quarterback Dallas Davis connected on 11-20 for 195 yards and a touchdown with Kevin Kutchera logging three receptions for 92 yards. The South Alabama rushing attack featured a six carry, 58 yard and two touchdown performance nut the offense couldn’t move the ball in t/he second half.
Georgia State are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games in October and Georgia State are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on fieldturf while Georgia State are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 3-0-1 in USA last 4 conference games and USA are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win and USA are 0-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
The numbers are so conflicting because I don’t see a world of difference here so I’ll take the points…
