The Pittsburgh Panthers and Miami Hurricanes meet early Saturday afternoon in a ACC college football game at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Pittsburgh Panthers look for a big road victory to get back on track after splitting their last six games. Nathan Peterman is completing 62.8 percent of his passes for 1,519 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. Peterman has one or less touchdown passes in four of his last six games. Jester Weah and Scott Orndoff have combined for 772 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while Quadree Henderson has 20 receptions. Defensively, Pittsburgh is allowing 32.4 points and 415.5 yards per game. Ryan Lewis leads the Pittsburgh Panthers with 52 tackles, Ejuan Price has nine sacks and Avonte Maddox has one interception.
The Miami Hurricanes are in desperate need of a victory to snap a brutal four-game losing streak. The Miami Hurricanes have lost three straight games against unranked teams. The Panthers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Hurricanes are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in November and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Panthers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings and road team is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings.
Miami has fallen off big time, as just a month ago the Hurricanes were ACC and possible playoff contenders. The Pittsburgh Panthers are a well coached football team that's very good in the trenches and can run the football. The Canes will be in trouble if they don't take this game seriously. However, I'm going to give Miami the edge here due to the overall playmakers on both sides of the ball. The Hurricanes have the better talent and should win this game. Miami has also won six of the last seven games against Pittsburgh.
