Iowa vs. Michigan - 11/12/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes look for some consistency after splitting their last eight games. The Iowa Hawkeyes also become bowl eligible for a fourth straight season with a victory here. C.J. Beathard is completing 59.9 percent of his passes for 1,584 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. Beathard has two or more touchdown passes in four of his last eight games. Riley McCarron and George Kittle have combined for 667 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Matt VandeBerg has 19 receptions. The Iowa Hawkeyes ground game is averaging 152.5 yards per contest, and Akrum Wadley leads the way with 664 yards and eight touchdowns. Defensively, Iowa is allowing 21.3 points and 402 yards per game. Josey Jewell leads the Iowa Hawkeyes with 87 tackles, Jaleel Johnson has 5.5 sacks and Brandon Snyder has two interceptions.

The Wolverines are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Hawkeyes are 1-9-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Wolverines are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the underdog is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 meetings.

The Michigan Wolverines seem to be getting better and better each week and would probably be my pick to win it all if I had to pick right now. Iowa was supposed to be a playoff contender this season but has fallen on its face and is struggling with consistency. However, let's not act like Iowa is a pushover despite its record. The Hawkeyes have competed in most of their games and three of their four losses this season have been decided by eight or less points. Michigan also has won a game in Iowa against the Hawkeyes since 2005. When you add the fact this game is primetime under the lights, you can expect a motivated Iowa team that's going to put up a fight. I get the same feel here that I had in the Penn State - Ohio State game.

Give me the Iowa Hawkeyes and the points.
