Coming up in college football action on Saturday, November 19, the Connecticut Huskies will be visiting the Boston College Eagles at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill.

Connecticut is skidding this year with a 3-7 record, and they’ve lost their last four games in a row. That includes a 21-0 Huskies defeat at the hands of Temple this past Saturday. In that game, Huskies QB Donovan Williams couldn’t find much room with a 12-of-21 line for 69 yards, but he did lead the team with 16 carries for 66 yards on the ground.

So far this year for Connecticut, Bryant Sherreffs is still tops in the passing game on 2010 yards, seven scores and six picks, while Arkeel Newsome holds the rush lead with 549 yards and four touchdowns on 128 attempts. Noel Thomas is tops in receiving with his 87 catches for 1090 yards and three scores this year.

Over on the Boston College side, they’re sitting at 4-6 on the season and have lost two in a row, including a 45-7 drubbing at the hands of Florida State in their last outing. In that one, Eagles QB Patrick Towles had a forgettable day with just 29 yards on 3-of-11 passing, while Myles Willis led a mediocre rush on three carries for 41 yards.

Thus far on the season, Towles holds 1322 yards with eight touchdowns and six interceptions for the Eagles, while John Hilliman is tops in the rushing game with 140 carries for 447 yards and five TDs. Michael Walker is Boston College’s receiving leader with 25 catches for 302 yards and two scores.

Connecticut is 16-38-2 ATS in their last 56 games overall, and 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 games following a straight-up loss. Connecticut is also 6-18-3 ATS in their last 27 non-conference games, and 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 road games.

Meanwhile, Boston College is 4-1-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games, and 13-28 ATS against a team with a losing record. Boston College is also 1-4 ATS in their last five games in November and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

There’s obviously not much to get excited about here if you’re not a fan of either one of these teams (or maybe even if you are). Still, considering Boston College has scored just 14 combined points in their last two games, they’ve been up against some solid competition as well. This is a game where you’ll need to ask yourself which team is worse, and in that case it’s Connecticut. I’ll take the Eagles to cover.
