The Line: Clemson Tigers -24 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Down at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, November 26, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Clemson Tigers will be meeting up in college football action.

South Carolina comes into this game with a 6-5 record on the year and has won four of their last five games. That mark includes a 44-31 win over Western Carolina this past Saturday, during which Gamecocks RB Rico Dowdle led a 422-rush-yard attack with 21 carries, 226 yards and two scores.

Clemson Tigers vs. South Carolina Gamecocks - 11/26/16 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

On the year thus far for South Carolina, QB Jake Bentley leads the way with 989 yards and six touchdowns, while Dowdle has 116 carries, 684 yards and six scores. Deebo Samuel is the Gamecocks’ top receiver on 41 catches for 579 yards.

As for Clemson, they’re coming into play here with a 10-1 record so far. The Tigers bounced back from their shocking loss to Pittsburgh nicely against Wake Forest this past weekend, dispatching the Demon Deacons 35-13. In that game, Clemson RB Wayne Gallman had a nice outing with 22 carries for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

So far this year for the Tigers, QB Deshaun Watson sits on 3279 yards, 28 TDs and 13 picks, while Gallman is tops with the rush on 160 carries for 831 yards and 13 scores. Mike Williams has 73 receptions for 1014 yards and seven scores for Clemson to lead the receivers.

South Carolina is 7-1 ATS in their last eight against the ACC, and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss. South Carolina is also 4-1-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record, and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.

As for Clemson, they’re 4-0 ATS in their last four home games versus a team with a winning road record, and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Clemson is also 1-6 ATS in their last seven games in November, and 0-4 ATS versus a team with a winning record.

While I’ll give credit to Dowdle where it’s due for having a monster day last weekend, the South Carolina offense simply isn’t all that impressive. The Gamecocks seem to play it safe way too often, and it will hurt them against a team like Clemson, who will shove conservatism right back in the face of the South Carolina offense. I’ll take the Tigers to cover here, and it shouldn’t even be close.
