Down at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Saturday, November 26, we’ve got a fun college football matchup coming between the Florida Gators and the Florida State Seminoles.
Florida comes into this game with an 8-2 record on the year, and has won five of their last six games. The Gators’ latest win came this past Saturday against LSU 16-10. In that one, Florida’s defense came up with a key stop on an LSU run from the 1-yard line late in the game to seal the close victory.

So far this year, Florida QB Luke Del Rio is still tops among the passers with 1358 yards, eight scores and eight picks, while Jordan Scarlett leads the rushers on 140 carries for 725 yards and six TDs. Antonio Callaway is the top Florida receiver on 37 catches for 545 yards and two TDs.
Over on the Florida State side, they’re entering play here with an 8-3 record and have won three games in a row. That win streak includes a 45-14 win over Syracuse this past Saturday. In that game, Florida State’s Dalvin Cook went off for 28 carries, 225 yards and four touchdowns.
On the season so far for the Seminoles, QB Deondre Francois has 2990 yards with 17 TDs and five picks, while Cook is tops among rushers on 1467 yards and 17 TDs on 242 carries. Travis Rudolph is the Seminoles’ top receiver with 49 catches for 744 yards and six scores.
Florida is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall, and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games. Florida is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the ACC, and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games in November.
As for Florida State, they’re 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in November, and 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games. Florida State is also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games, and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games overall.
This should be a fun game to watch, and I’m not going to bother pretending I know how things will go. That said, the Gators haven’t scored more than 20 points in any of their last three games, and Florida State is humming right now with Cook carrying the ball. I like the Seminoles to bag a cover here, but it may end up being close.
