Instate rivals the UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns take the field with the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in college football.
The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns come off a 24-19 win versus visiting Arkansas State as a six point underdog that raised their record to 5-6 which makes the team Bowl eligible with a win against UL Monroe in the final game of the regular season. The Red Wolves dominated yardage 521-292 and still lost which probably cost them the Sun Belt so I’m at a loss for words. Ragin’ Cajuns quarterback Anthony Jennings was the offense as he completed 13-24 for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns with Ja’Marcus Bradley making four receptions for 113 yards. ULL ran for 50 yards and a 1.5 yard average so throwing the ball saved them.
The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks dropped a 42-17 decision at Appalachian State that snapped a two game winning streak and left the Warhawks at 4-7 and out of the postseason. This was competitive in the first half before ASU got serious on their way to a 637-361 yardage edge. Warhawks quarterback Caleb Evans struggled to stretch the field and hook up with receivers as he hit 13-32 for 136 yards and an interception with seven different players making catches. ULM was better on the ground with Austin Vaughn totaling 110 yards on 15 carries and a score while Evans added 55 yards and a touchdown.

The over is 5-0 in UL Monroe last 5 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game and the over is 4-0 in UL Monroe last 4 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game while the over is 5-0 in UL Monroe last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game. UL Lafayette are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings in UL Monroe and the over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings while the underdog is 13-2-1 ATS in their last 16 meetings.
The numbers say UL Lafayette but I am not a fan of them and would rather watch them then bet them…
