The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks play their home opener versus the Austin Peay Governors in week two. The Redhawks have received a few accolades heading in to the season opener at Marshall but it was the Thundering Herd walking away with a 31-26 victory that was entertaining and close throughout. However, this was one Miami (Ohio) let get away with Marshall scoring on a pair of kick returns and a pick six. Gus Ragland connected on 23-44 throws for 298 yar0ds and a pair of touchdowns along with a costly pick six with the Redhawks driving. Alonzo Smith was the top Miami runner with 59 yards on 13 carries but James Gardner and Ryan Smith paced a solid passing attack with a combined 15 receptions for 209 yards with Smith scoring twice.
The over is 4-0-1 in Austin Peay last 5 non-conference games and the over is 4-0-1 in Austin Peay last 5 games overall while the over is 4-0-1 in Austin Peay last 5 road games. The under is 4-0 in Miami (Ohio) last 4 non-conference games and Miami (Ohio) are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games on fieldturf while the Miami (Ohio) are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Miami (Ohio) really gave away a game to Marshall because of special teams so that is an area of concern. I’m inclined to go with the under with the Governors running often and milking the clock…
