The USC Trojans also look for a 2-0 start after a 49-31 win over Western Michigan. The USC Trojans have won 10 straight home games. Sam Darnold is completing 69.7 percent of his passes for 289 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Darnold has two interceptions in three of his last five games. The Cardinal are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games, 41-20-1 ATS in their last 62 conference games and 21-10 ATS in their last 31 games overall. The Trojans are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in September and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Cardinal are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Southern California, 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings and the over is 15-7 in the last 22 meetings.
The USC Trojans had their scare in the week 1 opener, and that's likely going to help them in this contest, as it now has the attention of everybody in the lockeroom. Of course Stanford has had recent success against the Trojans and is a big, physical team that's able to control the trenches. However, I'm not as high on the Cardinal as I have been in the past and don't think they have the skill position players to hang with a USC team that can light up the scoreboard. Also, this line was at double digits, so we are getting some serious value with the line drop. I'll take USC by a touchdown.
