Tulsa vs. Louisiana-Lafayette - 9/9/17 College Football Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane could use a victory after getting tagged by Oklahoma State, 59-24, in their season opener. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have won six straight home games. Chad President is completing 51.4 percent of his passes for 178 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. President now has zero touchdown passes on 40 career pass attempts. Justin Hobbs and Keenen Johnson have combined for 123 receiving yards on 13 catches while Josh Stewart has three receptions. Defensively, Tulsa is allowing 59 points and 640 yards per game. McKinley Whitfield leads the Tulsa Golden Hurricane with 10 tackles, Jeremy Smith has one sack and Reggie Robinson II has one pass deflection.

The Ragin' Cajuns are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Golden Hurricane are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games, 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 non-conference games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The over is 8-3 in Golden Hurricane last 11 games overall and the under is 6-2-1 in Ragin' Cajuns last 9 games overall.

I knew the Tulsa Golden Hurricane needed time to reshape their offense after losing so much talent, but they had their moments against a really good Oklahoma State squad, and the ground game looked really sharp. Louisiana-Lafayette won its game, but allowing 48 points and needing all four quarters to beat Southeastern Louisiana at home doesn't give me much confidence. This is one of those games where Tulsa should look like Tulsa of old and score at will. I like the Golden Hurricane to run away with this one based on what we saw last week from the Ragin' Cajuns.
