The Charlotte 49ers will be looking for win number one of 2017 when FCS North Carolina A&T takes the field on Saturday. The 49ers found the going too tough in a week two 55-7 defeat at the Kansas State Wildcats as a five touchdown underdog. The Wildcats scored early and often as they racked up a 493-168 yardage advantage with Charlotte totaling ten first downs and giving the ball away three times with only 24 minutes of possession. The 49ers really struggled to throw the ball with the duo of Hasaan Klugh and Brooks Barden combining to go 10-25 for 58 yards with each throwing an interception. A pick six thrown by Klugh led to a first quarter 21-0 hole while the 49ers also had a fumble brought back for another score. Uriah LeMay was Charlotte’s top receiver with a pair of catches for 22 yards while Klugh added 33 rushing yards on ten carries and scored the only touchdown.
Charlotte are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in September and Charlotte are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall while Charlotte are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss of more than 20 points.
The side looks tough to me but I see points being scored with Charlotte being able to finally do something offensively. Both teams should be able to find the endzone to push this over…
