The Tulane Green Wave and Oklahoma Sooners meet Saturday in college football action at Memorial Stadium.
The Tulane Green Wave would love a big road victory to get a game above a .500 record. The Tulane Green Wave have lost five of their last seven road games. Jonathan Banks is completing 65 percent of his passes for 198 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Banks and Johnathan Brantley have combined for 256 passing yards this season. Terren Encalade and Dontrell Hilliard have combined for 166 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Darnell Mooney has three receptions. The Tulane Green Wave ground game is averaging 243.5 yards per contest, and Hilliard leads the way with 104 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Tulane is allowing 18.5 points and 275.5 yards per game. Rae Juan Marbley leads the Tulane Green Wave with 14 tackles, Luke Jackson has 2.5 sacks and Parry Nickerson has one interception.

The Oklahoma Sooners hope to avoid a letdown after beating up on the Ohio State Buckeyes last week. The Oklahoma Sooners have won five straight home games. Baker Mayfield is completing 83.6 percent of his passes for 715 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions. Mayfield has two or more touchdown passes in 15 straight games. Jeff Badet and Mark Andrews have combined for 330 receiving yards and one touchdown while Dimitri Flowers has eight receptions. The Oklahoma Sooners ground game is averaging 142 yards per contest, and Trey Sermon leads the way with 113 yards on 24 carries. Defensively, Oklahoma is allowing 11.5 points and 258.5 yards per game. Emmanuel Beal leads the Oklahoma Sooners with 13 tackles, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has 2.5 sacks and Parnell Motley has one interception.
The Green Wave are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Sooners are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games, 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games in September and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The under is 6-2 in Sooners last 8 games overall and the over is 4-0 in Green Wave last 4 non-conference games.
This is the ultimate letdown spot for Oklahoma, as it could easily come out flat after beating up on Ohio State and just cruise to a 14-point victory. If that's the case, the points are certainly worth a look. However, Tulane has had issues scoring dating back to last season and hasn't had much recent road success against anybody in college football. If Oklahoma is serious about being a championship contender and has a point to prove, it takes games like this seriously and wins in blowout fashion. After what took place last week, I expect the Sooners to put their foot on the Green Wave's neck.
