The Utah State Aggies look for a nice home victory here to get a game above a .500 record. The Utah State Aggies have split their last six home games. Kent Myers is completing 66.7 percent of his passes for 777 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions. Myers has one or less touchdown passes in seven of his last nine games. Gerold Bright and Ron'quavion Tarver have combined for 321 receiving yards and four touchdowns while Jordan Nathan has 16 receptions. The Utah State Aggies ground game is averaging 175 yards per contest, and Eltoro Allen leads the way with 209 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Utah State is allowing 32 points and 382.8 yards per game. Chase Christiansen leads the Utah State Aggies with 28 tackles, Jalen Davis has two sacks and Baron Gajkowski has one interception.
The Cougars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Aggies are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 Friday games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games overall. The road team is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings, the underdog is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings and the under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.
Neither one of these teams have looked all of that great, as BYU's only win came against Portland State and Utah State's only victories were against Idaho State and San Jose State. These teams are a combined 0-5 SU against power five teams this season. BYU has beaten Utah State in five of the last six meetings and has had a much rougher schedule where you can give the Cougars a pass for their record. However, BYU struggles big time on the offensive end, which has put the defense on the field far too often. Utah State also has a decent defense that forces turnovers, gets to the quarterback and is allowing a touchdown less than 50 percent of the time in 15 red zone trips. This is a game where the Aggies can grind out a victory at home. I'll take my points here.
