Clemson has beaten Virginia Tech in four straight meetings and besides last years contest, the previous three weren't close at all. The Tigers are argubly the best team in the country right now, as their combination of offense and defense is impressive, and they're proven with victories over Auburn and a road win over Louisville. Clemson is a scary football team right now and makes a case for being better than a year ago. However, Virginia Tech is still a really good defensive team and has the coaching staff that will put together a gameplan to slowdown Clemson's playmakers. Also, there may not be a tougher place to play at night than Lane Stadium, as the crowd is nasty and it gives the players that extra boost of energy. I wouldn't be shocked if Clemson found a way to open this up, but I see value with the points, especially with us getting the hook.
