The Kent State Golden Flashes welcome the Buffalo Bulls to town for a MAC tilt on Saturday. The Golden Flashes come off of a 42-3 defeat at the Louisville Cardinals as a 42 point underdog. The Golden Flashes struggled on both sides of the football as they were outgained 539-150 with three turnovers and less then 24 minutes of possession. Kent State seldom put the ball in the air with quarterback George Bollas going 2-4 for eleven yards with a 37 yard pick six which made the passing game a non factor. The Golden Flashes tried to establish the running game with little success with Dustin Crum logging 62 yards on 18 carries with a 30 yard run but he also lost a pair of fumbles while Kesean Gamble totaled 45 yards on 12 touches. The Golden Flashes received a strong defensive effort from cornerback Demetrius Monday with a pair of interceptions and three tackles.

Buffalo has performed at a higher level then expected in their four games thus far and could realistically be 3-1 if not for a few bad plays at Army. I’ll back the improved team looking for revenge…
