The #25 LSU Tigers will also look to improve on their strong 3-1 start to the season, taking down Syracuse by a final score of 35-26 in their last outing. Danny Etling led the Tigers, throwing for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns on 10 of 17 passing. Darrel Williams led LSU with 16 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown, while DJ Chark and Derrius Guice each chipped in a rushing score of their own. The aforementioned Williams also chipped in 3 catches for 50 yards, while Foster Moreau added 3 grabs of his own in the win. The Tigers combined for 3 sacks and an interception, highlighting an otherwise solid outing for LSU, who held a potent Syracuse offense to 384 yards of total offense, despite giving up 26 points in the victory.
Troy is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games while the over is 15-1 in their last 16 games against the SEC. LSU is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games while the under is 6-1-2 in their last 9 games following a win.
Troy has looked pretty good over their first 4 games of the year, the problem is that the Trojans haven’t covered the spread in any of those games. LSU seems to have bounced back against Syracuse, and I’m expecting a big game from the Tigers against Troy who will just be in way over their heads here.
