The Temple Owls look to remain undefeated at home to get a game above a .500 record. The Temple Owls have won eight straight home games. Logan Marchi is completing 53.8 percent of his passes for 799 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. Marchi now has five touchdown passes on 125 career pass attempts. The Cougars are 20-5-1 ATS in their last 26 road games, 0-6 ATS in their last 6 conference games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Owls are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games, 25-8 ATS in their last 33 conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The under is 7-2 in Owls last 9 games overall and the under is 4-0 in Cougars last 4 games overall.
Houston has outscored Temple 55-23 in the last two meetings, and I think it's fair to say that those Owls were better than this years squad. Temple isn't the same defensively as it's been in years past and the ground game has really struggled, putting way too much pressure on a passing game that has issues as well. Take away two wins over basketball schools, and Temple has been outscored 92-23 in its two losses. Houston has lived up to expectations this season after beating Arizona on the road and going back-and-forth with Texas Tech last week despite a losing effort. The Cougars should dominate this game defensively and give the offense plenty of chances to open this thing up. I like Houston by two touchdowns.
