The Bowling Green Falcons visit Fred Yager Stadium to battle the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks in week six college football.
The Bowling Green Falcons are looking for win number one of the season with a trip to the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks Saturday. The Falcons come off of a 34-23 defeat at home as a three point underdog to the Akron Zips. BGSU held a slight 376-361 advantage in yards but lost the turnover battle 4-3 and were whistled for eight penalties so this wasn’t easy on the eyes. BGSU didn’t light up the Akron secondary through the air with James Morgan completing 17-28 for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns while tossing a 38 yard pick six in the 4th quarter with his team trailing by four. Josh Cleveland led Bowling Green in rushing with 94 yards on 20 carries while Matt Domer added 42 yards on four touches and a TD. Scott Miller led a short passing attack with ten receptions for 60 yards as the Falcons struggled for big gains.

The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks look for their third win of the season when the Bowling Green Falcons come to town on Saturday. The Redhawks ran in to a buzz saw in a 52-17 defeat at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a three touchdown underdog. The Fighting Irish gained yards in chunks in amassing over 500 yards while Miami (OH) logged 377 yards and committed the only two turnovers of the game. Alonzo Smith led the Redhawks on the ground with 66 yards on ten totes while Jaylon Bester and Kenny Young combined for 51 yards on ten carries but running the ball wasn’t ideal with the team trailing 45-14 at the half. Miami (Ohio) quarterback Gus Ragland connected on 19-37 for 262 yards with two touchdowns and an interception with James Gardner grabbing five passes for 115 yards and both scores.
