We have some SEC conference action on the gridiron from College Station in week 6, as the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide face off against the Texas A&M Aggies.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to keep rolling and maintain their top rank in the country after improving to 5-0 this season, including 2-0 in SEC play after a 66-3 drubbing of Ole Miss in their last outing. Jalen Hurts put yet another hurt on an opponent, throwing for 197 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 for 19 passing, while also leading the Tide with 10 carries for 101 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 51 yards and a TD of his own, while Damien Harris put up 67 rushing yards on 7 carries. Tagovailoa, Najee Harris, Ronnie Clark and Bo Scarbrough each chipped in a rushing TD in the rout. Cam Sims and Calvin Ridley shared the team lead with 60 receiving yards, while Josh Jacobs, Henry Ruggs III and Hale Hentges each contributed a receiving TD in the winning effort. Defensively, it was another suffocating outing for the Alabama D, as the Tide combined for 5 sacks, along with a pair of interceptions from Levi Wallace, one of which was returned 35 yards to the house for the pick-six. All of this while holding Ole Miss to just 3 points, 253 yards of total offense and 0 for 13 on 3rd down.

The Texas A&M Aggies will also look to keep rolling after their 4th straight win, a 24-17 victory over South Carolina to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in SEC play. Kellen Mond completed 19 of 27 pass attempts for 159 yards while also leading the team in rushing with 95 yards on 16 carries. Keith Ford racked up 70 yards and a pair of rushing TDs on 12 carries, while Trayveon Williams added a rushing score of his own, taking his team-high 16 carries and turning them into 56 yards. Jhamon Ausbon led the Aggies with 43 receiving yards on 3 catches, while Damion Ratley and Christian Kirk shared the team lead with 4 catches apiece. On defense, the Aggies combined for a whopping 7 sacks, including a pair of sacks from both Otaro Alaka and Landis Durham while Kingsley Keke recorded a sack and a fumble recovery, all of this while stifling the Gamecocks offense, holding South Carolina to just 279 yards of total offense and a 2 for 13 mark on 3rd down in the win.
Alabama is 12-2 ATS in their last 14 road games and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 conference games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win. Texas A&M is 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win.
I said it last week much to the scrutiny of people around me that Alabama would destroy Ole Miss, and enough it came to fruition. The Tide are playing like the best team in the country right now, and while the Aggies’ winning streak is solid, Alabama has won the last three meetings between these two teams by a combined 96 points. Alabama is playing too well right now for me to lean towards Texas A&M, and the Tide have killed the spread on the road. May not be a popular pick, but Bama rolls again.
